Is this your first time? 600k

Results are posted

Ride Description:This is a beautiful course and lots of "firsts abound" If you've been waiting to do your first 600k, this is the one. If you've been looking for a personal best on a 600k, this might also be the one. By SIR standards this is a relatively flat 600k, no mountain passes and 'only' about 10,000 feet of elevation gain total (we have some 200k rides with that much elevation gain).

Leaving from Auburn, we travel along the Tacoma waterfront before riding over the Tacoma Narrows bridge, Be sure to admire the view as you ride on the new bridge across the Tacoma Narrows - no cars rushing past your shoulder on this bridge!  The Peninsula is never flat, expect rollers and some short hard climbs in addition to riding along the waterfront near the Gig Harbor and Port Orchard waterfronts.

After Port Orchard we ride over familiar roads to Westport and then along the coast. Our return takes us by Pe Ell  on our way to Centralia for our overnight.

Leaving Centralia you get a gentle warm up before tackling Alpha Centralia road and the hills up to Morton - the pre-riders left early to leave themselves plenty of time to make the Morton control, I'd do likewise. Leaving Morton visit Elbe and follow the Ramrod route to Enumclaw. Finally, some nice country roads and the Green Valley road get you back to Auburn.
