Bellingham 200K March 20, 2010

The Bellingham 200 is a modified version of the Little Arlington Mambo, an SIR favorite.

Bellingham 200K Pre-ride Report

Route Description: The ride starts at the Arlington Haggen and heads north on HWY 9 to Sedro Woolley.  From there we get off of HWY 9 and follow back roads to Cain Lake, Lake Whatcom and another Haggen on the north side of Bellingham.  From Haggen you’ll head south through downtown Bellingham and Fairhaven (one can Mambo in Fairhaven) along scenic Chuckanut Drive  to Bow/Edison (two bakeries)  Bayview (more water views), LaConner and back to Arlington (all roads head to Haggen).  A great ride to build base miles for the season.  Approximately 5600 feet of climbing.

Please note that this year's ride is early in the season and the probable overcast skies makes the potential for finishing in the dark much higher than in past years. ALL Riders are STRONGLY encouraged to bring a front light and are REQUIRED to have a rear light!
