Summer 600K Brevet (ACP) 8/26/2017

E-mail

Summer 600K Brevet (ACP) Total elevation over the two days is ~ 15, 000 ft; less ft/mi than PBP, but not a walk in the park, either.

Ride Summary:

Summer 600K Brevet

Day 1 will see us heading south to the first control in Enumclaw, after which we will begin the long, slow climb to Cayuse Pass. When you summit at mile 72, you will have already climbed 6000 feet, leaving just 9000 feet to be covered in the remaining 300 miles!

After Cayuse, we will descend to Packwood, do a lollipop loop out to Randle, then return to Packwood. We'll head north-west via Skate Creek Road to a control in Eatonville. Day one will finish by heading north to Enumclaw, from where we will head back to the overnight at the Motel 6 in Issaquah.

Day 1 total = 239 miles, 11,254 feet.

Day two is essentially a "shortened" MI-3 on very familiar roads. From Issaquah, we will travel to Carnation and Monroe, then on to a control in Snohomish. From Snohomish we will do an out-n-back on the Centennial Trail all the way to it's terminus at the Northern Trailhead. After another stop in Snohomish, we'll travel south through Maltby and Woodinville, then down the east side of Lake Sammamish back to Issaquah.

Day 2 total = 135 miles, 3744 feet.

This is a repeat of the "make-up 600K" in 2015. For additional details from the route, read the 2015 pre-riders reportĀ here.
